Day 3 - Thursday: Lunch in Morocco

Ever since Jordan became a world traveller she has been fascinated by Middle Eastern culture.  So where is the best place to go in Disney to explore that?  EPCOT.

Jake, Jill, Jordan and I boarded the monorail from the Ticket and Transportation Station and headed to EPCOT and waited to meet Jen, Joe, and Papa.  Then we would meet up with Steve and the kids later.  Mechele would arrive later that day and the family would all be assembled.

I think we have several of us that really enjoy EPCOT.  I don't know if it is the music, the world showcase (or the Lands as some call it) or its more laid back and open feel.  When we got to EPCOT we grabbed our startup drinks as Club Cool.  It is just the right fun tastes and sugar rush to kick start your entry into the World Showcase with Joe while Jen began fixing (and gaining) more Fast Passes.

I grabbed a cold beverage at the Rose and Crown (sorry Steve) and made our way back to Morocco where we sat inside Tangierine Café and had a really great lunch. Jordan seemed to truly enjoy it!! But in all honesty....it was really very good and really very filling!

Once we ate we strolled around the alleys of Morocco enjoying the shops.  Once exiting we met up with Jen outside Mitsokoshi Department store in Japan.  She had stopped in Mexico to watch a Coco show with the Mexican singers.  It is always great to bump into a pop up show!

With the group now together we headed towards Germany and grabbed a number of snacks to include some amazing caramel coated popcorn, a rice krispee treat, and a caramel apple.  This was a nice desert for our lunch as we made our way over to Mission Space and wait for the arrival of Steve, Michele and the kids.

After getting off our trips to circumnavigate the world, we grabbed some rest in the shade nearby.  Once we were all together we headed to Test Track to build out our cars and test them out virtually on the track.  "Second is best".... :-)

The adventure continued as we noticed the heavy storm clouds building.  So it was easy for us....head to the Lands and see Soarin'.   Such a great ride and with Fast Passes....perfect.  With feet dangling we toured the world as only Disney can.   It didn't stop there.  Next up was Figment and Journey into Imagination.  Although not well liked but some of the younger peeps in our group....it is a classic!

We followed it up with Finding Nemo where Papa pulled his cart into the ride and zipped through the turn-styles....yikes!!  But he navigated it like a pro.   Once off the ride, we toured around what used to be Sea Base Alpha looking at all the underwater creatures and even caught a glimpse of the divers going in.  That is something for the next trip!

Dinner that night was at the Mexican Pavillion at La Hacienda de San Angel.  This is a difficult reservation to get but we got it and after a little conversation we got our own private room!

Our seats were next to the window for viewing Illuminations.  However, we needed to move around a bit for best viewing.  Still....A M A Z I N G.

Our server, Jesus, was quite good and kept the food and drinks coming!

Leaving EPCOT...we were some of the last.  I love it there at that time of night.  No crowds.  No rushing.  You get to see the park in a much different way.

A great way to end the day.
